The Saint Paul Review: Intro!

As of right now, if y'all aren't aware, I live in St.Louis Missouri, however I will, most likely, only be here for another year or so. With that in mind I have decided to try as many varieties of my favorite St.Louis cuisine, the St. Paul sandwich. What is a St. Paul sandwich, you ask? Well a St. Paul is made up of white bread, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayonnaise, and...egg foo yong! And it's fucking awesome. So over the next year I am going to be sampling these delights from as many chinese restaurants as possible and am going to be reviewing them right here! So look forward to the future!

This is a drawing I did in...January, I think? I was initially going to make it into a screenprint but i may never do it as it is very low on my list of priorities. So whether I end up doing that or not, I figure I may as well let the internet see it. fucking METAL, right?

more info about st. pauls can be found at wikipedia!

Collaboragraphs! pt. 3

"exquisite corpse"
I did the drawing on the second and fourth parts, Jun did parts one and three and he did all the aquatints. BAM! The other corpse can be seen here and on that one I drew parts one and three, Jun the the other two, and I did the aquatints. DOUBLE BAM!

"double dragons"
This here be another exquisite corpse style image, but done a lil differnt. This was the most collaborative of the three corpses as we both did work on each others drawings and aquatints and blahblahblah, boring stuff. LESS BORING, is the fact that we both, unknowingly, drew dragons as part of this blob, RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. crazy right?! meh. Well that's why its called "double dragons" anyway.

Kay, dunno if we had a title for this one, but my image is on the left of the robot (obviously) and Jun's is the turtle monster. We started off by silkscreening a bitmap of a cityscape with plastisol ink on the plates, aquatinting them, and then drawing in our respective monsters, and then silkscreening the background in the same manner. We both added more line work and shit to our cities, but I think they ended up coming together pretty well. But then again what do I know about shit?
Well the answer is a lot, thanks.

Until next time!

just some ramblings.

Okay, no pictures today, just general update stuff.

I decided to change the name of the zine I am working on from NevrEnuf to DickFace. I think it's a good change, a little less generic I guess? I dunno, I just think I would rather read something called DickFace than NevrEnuf, but maybe that's just me, but then again anyone that would be interested in what I do would also probably be interested in childish profanity.

In other news, I have like half a dozen projects I am trying to work on at the same time in addition to my TEMPORARY job at school. As well as trying to set up the etching area at Evil Prints which is a blast and a half. Bleh. I am not always the best at finishing the projects I start, I'm hoping to wrap a bunch of them up this summer, even more preferably this month. But who knows.

Anyone know any good jokes?
