Gila Monster. 61/183.

I actually finished this before I finished the Gecko, because I realized I needed to fucking do some simple things instead of making them all obnoxious. I also wanted to do something with more black and with a more graphic quality. Blahblahblah.

Though I wish I had made this more of a MONSTER, but I didn't think of that until much later. OH WELL!

Gecko. 60/183.

House Gecko. They can be TINY.
Also another example of something that I spent too much time coloring in photoshop.
As you can see be the initial drawing below.

WOOHOO!
Maybe I wouldn't be so behind if I didn't go overboard so often.
Meh.

Frog. 59/183.

ribbit.

BONUS! For your enjoyment/consideration:
Flip the frog by Ub Iwerks. Ub Iwerks is awesome.

gasp.

Not sure on a title for this, pretty much just a study of comic panels and speech bubbles. And also working with halftones.

Whatever.

Maybe a future screenprint.

Frill-necked Lizard. 58/183.

Jesus christ in heaven these fuckers are hard to draw. As you can see I pretty much gave up on trying to draw one realistically and instead concentrated on fucking around with cross hatching.
APPRECIATE MY HONESTY.

Fly. 56/183.

I made Jun add the fly to our list of animals because I really really REALLY wanted to do the Fly from the 1958 film. I also decided to make the Fly drinking coffee for Mike Pennekamp's "monsters drinking coffee" project so I could pay him back for the flamingo drawing he did for me. So I guess I'm kindof cheating but shit, I spent way too much time on this dumb thing.

The background didn't turn out quite how I would have liked but I got tired of dicking with it and didn't want to redraw the whole thing. And as you may have noticed (though I doubt it) I've been spending alot of time lately working on drawing realistic clothing and adding folds and shadows and all that good shit.
Meh.
