Whoaw. I've done a shitty job updating stuff this month. Anyway, New York was pretty baller, I have comics coming up this week, and more stuff. So yeah.
Anyhoo, this is a super tiny etching I did recently that debuted at Prints Gone Wold, I think it's 2" x 3"? Well it was the first official test etching done at evil prints, that being one that was actually finished and printed as it is intended to be.

FUCKING METAL

Just a lil' plaque I etched for one of the presses at Evil Prints that has been recently been dubbed "Snaggletooth". Etched in steel, wiped with ink, and then left to dry, and then mounted with magnets. WOO. fun yeah?

I likes doin' zee death metal type.

"exquisite corpse"
I did the drawing on the second and fourth parts, Jun did parts one and three and he did all the aquatints. BAM! The other corpse can be seen here and on that one I drew parts one and three, Jun the the other two, and I did the aquatints. DOUBLE BAM!

"double dragons"
This here be another exquisite corpse style image, but done a lil differnt. This was the most collaborative of the three corpses as we both did work on each others drawings and aquatints and blahblahblah, boring stuff. LESS BORING, is the fact that we both, unknowingly, drew dragons as part of this blob, RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. crazy right?! meh. Well that's why its called "double dragons" anyway.


Kay, dunno if we had a title for this one, but my image is on the left of the robot (obviously) and Jun's is the turtle monster. We started off by silkscreening a bitmap of a cityscape with plastisol ink on the plates, aquatinting them, and then drawing in our respective monsters, and then silkscreening the background in the same manner. We both added more line work and shit to our cities, but I think they ended up coming together pretty well. But then again what do I know about shit?

Two-Headed Monster Robot! Fight! Mo' INFO

This is just one of many, yes MANY, super awesome prints you can expect to see at the upcoming show I have with the world-famous Jun Nakamura. Most of the prints I have already released into the wide internet world will be there as well as quite a few brand spanking new ones. You DEF won't regret coming, I mean, at least it's something to do you know? It will make you sound cultured and shit to some boy or girl you're trying to impress. Basically, this show will get you laid.
Oh, but wait, there's more! While the show won't cost you a dime, don't leave your wallet at home cause there will be this print as well as others available for your greedy little hands to hold and own.

"with/out." or a whole SHITLOAD of pictures.

This is a series of 9 (including the above one) etchings for a book called "with/out." that I made over the summer. The one above of the shark was a 3x4" four plate color etching that was used for the title page, and the ones below were 4x5.5" single plate etchings. Along with the images there was text done with letterpress (which you see as the titles of the images). The whole thing was bound and also included some screen printing and woodcuts for various miscellaneous parts of the book. Anyway the whole thing was a BITCH. Letterpress is totally not my thing, way too much tedious work for not a lot of pay off, but it looks great and I respect people that do it...even though they are fucking crazy. Moral of the story, however, is that making the books was way too much for me but I'll probably be editioning the etchings soonish/at some point and offering those in sets or individually. But yeah, that will be in the future and I'll post something about it then so...there wasn't much point in mentioning now...but I was just thinking about it...at the mo...OKAY no more rambling. LOOK at these here things I made!

new print/new news

Alright just editioned this here print, its 4x6" etching on copper printed on Somerset with a Kitakata japanese paper chine colle. Jesus Christ isn't that fucking COOL?!
So yeah it'll be up on Etsy before Christmas I hope, assuming that it doesn't sell out over the weekend. SPEAKING OF WHICH, some of my prints are going to be up for sale at an Art Sale that is going on at the Lewis Center here in Saint Louis. It's in the Loop area so if you're around there this weekend you should check it out.
ALSO, more news, this past weekend this new print, along with a few others, was up in a show called "This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" at a gallery (whose name I can't remember) on Cherokee Street during the Cherokee Street Print Fair.

This is a handful of etchin's I produced at the beginning of this year. I was still getting the hang of the whole etching process, and hopefully there is some sort of progression in them...if not well then fuck. FAIL. This'll be updated shortly with specs and shit. Awful late ATM so not really feeling up to seeking out that info.
In other news, totally got my high score in bowling tonight, 195. I'm sure everyone that reads this has either a)gotten a higher score or b)is fully capable of lying on the internet.
