Two-Headed Monster Robot! Fight!

Poster I collaborated on with my friend Jun Nakamura for our upcoming show at the end of February (the 26th to be exact). If you are in the St. Louis area you should most def come out, it'll be pretty awesome...hopefully...at least not a total pile of shit. The show will have a bunch of my prints as well as a bunch of Jun's AND a few prints that we both worked on together. There will be some other stuff there too that should be pretty neat to look at with your eyeballs.
The show is going to be at the Community Arts Media Project or, CAMP, and go from 6pm till 10pm. It'll be good fun, bring your friends! Between now and then I'll post a few images of the collaborative prints and a few other ones that I haven't bothered to put up.

DickFace: Night Train Cold

OKAY. So, this is one of the images I finished for my zine that will still be completed in one form or another within the next couple months. The basic premise is to do quick drawings without much planning or worrying about how perfect they turn out and to just get quick simple ideas out of my skull before they die and drown in my jelly brain. Whatever it's worth to ya.

And yeah. School is back on.

joy.

Tales of Woe! (aka My Life)

So last week I had this epic zine project plan in which I was was going to do 24 drawings in the span of 24 hours. Well, I woke up that day, and got two hours into my project WHEN...the repair men came to fix the furnace. Now they were both very nice fellows and I wouldn't say they were as annoying as fuck but...they were annoying as fuck. The moral of the story is that after the three hours they spent distracting me and fixing the heat (which is glorious) I attempted to get back on track but failed. So I got about 9 drawings into my project and was too disheartened and too behind in order to finish...SO I am going to break it up into segments, and complete the 24 images but Imma spread it out. So work is being done on that as well as a few other things that shall be illuminated internetly in the near future.
Also, school starts soon.
Ballsacks.

year end roundup part II: illustration.

Alrighty dighty, I know the end of the year is at an end but I had some shits come up so I wasn't able to get this all together in time. Do you really care? I should hope not. More to come soon...by more I mean end-of-year stuff...yeah.

This was an assignment from an illustration class I took last semester, the assignment was to illustrate seven birds: owl, flamingo, cardinal, penguin, ostrich, blue bird, and woodpecker. I created a series of 2-d cutouts with acrylic paint and mounted them in a 3-d set. The photographs didn't turn out quite as well as the actual set, but meh.
This was actually very similar to another project I did two years ago.

The following illustrations were from an assignment that was a series of 15 illustrations all done at 4x4". They were in sets of three, with five different types of media. Each one had to illustrate a single word that we were given.

PAINT!

"venus fly trap."

"kiwi."

"wrist watch."

PEN n' INK

"surgeon."

"astronaut."

"bear."

CUT CONSTRUCTION PAPER(one of these has been omitted from the series for SUCKING)

"stop light."

"owl."

COLOR'D PENCIL

"peach tree."

"milk."

"eel."

COLLAGE/cut out magazine images (TWO of these have been omitted for SUCKING/this method is hard/looks like shit)

"moped."
