Failing my promise to upload everyday.
So I failed my attempt to upload everyday but I (taking fully responsibility) don't have a scanner and forgot my flash drive full of new shit back in Austin.
Whatever, here is a shitty drawing I did on the back of a Steak n' Shake place mat! Sorry.

Christopher Hitchens sketch.
So I am considering doing a series of portraits of people I like and that inspire me, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it yet, so I decided to get back into drawing people from images. Thus, I did this quick sketch of Christopher Hitchens, it took almost an hour but it was so small I had trouble adding more to it. Yeah, whatever, just a sketch for a future project, maybe.
Yes, the eye is a little wonky.

Finch. 54/183.

Darwin's finches, ya'know? I basically just wanted to draw Darwin and didn't feel like drawing a damn bird. I did a few more sketches of just the bird and hated them all and started a pixel art one, and was just unhappy with the direction it was going.
So yeah this was basically just a prep sketch but I think I was having a shitty day drawing, and didn't persue a cleaned up version. Besides I need to get caught up. I also spilled beer on this drawing so I didn't really finish it completely. Meh.

Boston Trip.

I drew this while I was in Boston.
This is how I felt while I was in Boston.
But also, I did some drawings with Jun while I was there so you can see them there on his post about our drawing adventure.
Animals are returning right about now too.

sketchbook 1.

So I came across THIS tumblr page awhile ago and was so happy to see it. It really drives me crazy to see all of these super nice sketchbooks with well developed images as if they were final pieces posted all over the interwebs. I don't believe in that. SO in the spirit of keeping sketch books sketchy, here are some images from a sketchbook I finished a month or so ago, it was handmade, just a stapled together piece of crap I could easily carry around. SEE HOW SHITTY I CAN DRAW!

The Matters of Grey: character dizzign
So I have embarked on a three month long journey that shall be filled with misery, tears, and possibly, my death. For my senior thesis in printmaking i am writing and drawing a comic book...done entirely in etching. I have been working on this project for about four months now and been slowly fleshing the beast out, think Dr. Frankenstein, or in this case Dr. Francelenstein! That doesn't really make sense. oh well.
ANYWAY, just thought I would start putting up some of the sketches and character designs and such just to have a record of it and so YOU, yes YOU good people at home can follow along on the adventure and laugh at my torture and eventual failure. but yeah, this is a design for a robot that appears in the story, I was really trying NOT to do the same damn robot I always do so I was pretty happy that I don't hate this (yet). I also was trying to avoid having a robot in the narrative at all but the story called for it! It beckoned with (oh yes i'm gunna say it) ROBOTIC ARMS! okay.
