Fly. 56/183.

I made Jun add the fly to our list of animals because I really really REALLY wanted to do the Fly from the 1958 film. I also decided to make the Fly drinking coffee for Mike Pennekamp's "monsters drinking coffee" project so I could pay him back for the flamingo drawing he did for me. So I guess I'm kindof cheating but shit, I spent way too much time on this dumb thing.

The background didn't turn out quite how I would have liked but I got tired of dicking with it and didn't want to redraw the whole thing. And as you may have noticed (though I doubt it) I've been spending alot of time lately working on drawing realistic clothing and adding folds and shadows and all that good shit.
Meh.

Flamingo. 55/183.

GUEST ARTIST! WOO!
Flamingos by Mike Pennekamp. He also made sure that I understood that "Flamingos are known for their flamboyant attitudes, incredible balance, love of mexican food... and hate for mexican people." He is a very well educated man.

Mike agreed to do this in exchange for a drawing for his monsters drinking coffee project. Which I haven't finished yet but should be up tomorrow or the next day.

GO LOOK AT HIS SHIT.

Finch. 54/183.

Darwin's finches, ya'know? I basically just wanted to draw Darwin and didn't feel like drawing a damn bird. I did a few more sketches of just the bird and hated them all and started a pixel art one, and was just unhappy with the direction it was going.

So yeah this was basically just a prep sketch but I think I was having a shitty day drawing, and didn't persue a cleaned up version. Besides I need to get caught up. I also spilled beer on this drawing so I didn't really finish it completely. Meh.

Elk. 53/183.

Yup. LOGTEXT.

Donkey. 49/183.

Kay here is the super simple line drawing that I did lickety split.

And this is the color version that I went way overboard on. 7 colors. not including black and white.
BLAh.

Dolphin. 48/183.

I know that Jun also did a mythical depiction of the dolphin, but seriously, it is way too badass not to do that version.

Kinda going for a tattoo flash feel to this, as people get shitty dolphin tattoos all the time and should probably start getting this version instead. Srsly folks.

Dog. 47/183.

Just a pencil drawing this time, thought I would actually try to do one that is somewhat finalized and decent, not like my shitty alligator.

Pitbulls are the bestest. This guy's name is Titan and hes a sweetheart, the immortal AJ Lovell and his fiancee have been fostering him for a while and I wish I could adopt him.

And yes, I realize that Jun's dog drawing is way more badass.

DOGDICK.

Dodo. 46/183.

Microns, 7 colors (including black and white) in Photoshop.
Keepin it simple.

WHY AM I SO BEHIND?!
Well, there will be updates explaining that in the future.
Until then, patience.

Dimetrodon. 45/183.

The anatomy is a little off on this and I'm not overly pleased with the drawing but I guess I'll live to do better next time.

Btw, fuck the Fourth of July.

Deer. 44/183.

The return of the pixel!
Tried to make this one simpler than the aye-aye and use less colors. This was done with five colors. Yap.

Crow. 43/183.

Microns and brushes with india ink for the drawing, then photoshop for the color.
I know, it's a bit of a weird combo all together.
But I don't care.

St. Loozer/extra C-word animal!

This is a design that I have been working on for awhile, and finally decided to get this shit done today. I'm going to be printing these on shirts (now that its midway through the baseball season) sometime in the next month or so. SO if you want one, shoot me an email and we can figure it out.
They will be printed on black, three colors. Here is some idea of what they will look like on the shirt:

Below is the original design I did, the inking was done with brushes, which i really like, but I didn't think it looked dumb enough. So yeah.
But if you think this version is better, let me know, my judgement sucks.

Crab. 42/183.

Fiddler Crab!
Similar to the crab in my Monster Town painting.
I don't think I did anything too new in this. Meh.
